EverNitro: Home Nitro Coffee Without the Cartridge Costs

XBrew Lab is disrupting the nitro coffee market with its EverNitro machine, unveiled at CES 2026. Unlike existing countertop nitro systems that rely on expensive, single-use nitrogen cartridges, EverNitro generates nitrogen directly from the air, offering a cheaper and more sustainable solution for home brewing.

What is Nitro Coffee?

For those unfamiliar, nitro coffee is cold brew infused with nitrogen gas. This creates a cascade of tiny bubbles that make the drink remarkably smooth, naturally sweet, and less bitter than traditional iced coffee – often described as similar to the texture of a Guinness stout.

How EverNitro Differs

EverNitro directly addresses the core drawbacks of current home nitro setups. Competing brands like NitroBrew often require ongoing gas cartridge purchases, which can quickly add up. The company claims EverNitro achieves 95% nitrogen purity while eliminating this recurring cost.

Founder Terry Tan highlights the value proposition: “We offer the quality of a commercial tap with the footprint of a coffee maker. While others sell you gas, we give you technology to harvest it for free.”

Hands-On Experience & Pricing

Initial tests confirm that EverNitro is user-friendly and compact. The machine accommodates not just coffee but also cocktails or other beverages, with adjustable pressure settings up to 8 BAR. The entire process—from loading to enjoying the drink—takes just minutes. A companion app provides firmware updates and potentially future features.

The device exceeded expectations on Kickstarter, raising over $570,000 in funding. The EverNitro Lite model is priced at $470 (with a backer discount of $290), while the Pro version ($583, or $337 for backers) includes extra canisters, a coffee preservation jar, and whipped cream attachments. For comparison, comparable NitroBrew units retail around $1,000.

Beyond Coffee: The Future of Gas-Enhanced Beverages

XBrew Lab isn’t stopping at coffee. According to TechCrunch, CEO Tan envisions expanding the technology to optimize other beverages. The team is researching how precisely controlled gas mixtures can enhance the texture and mouthfeel of drinks, potentially automating cocktail mixing and brewing with tailored gas profiles.

EverNitro marks a significant step toward democratizing nitro beverage technology, removing both financial and environmental barriers for consumers while hinting at a broader future of gas-enhanced drinks.
