Microsoft is expanding its Xbox Game Pass library in October with a diverse range of titles, including the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 arriving on Day 1, October 21st. The influx of new games spans genres, from action-packed adventures to atmospheric puzzles and classic RPGs, offering value for subscribers across all tiers—starting at $10/month for basic access, with Ultimate at $30/month for the most comprehensive selection.
New Arrivals: From Action to Horror
October’s additions include several notable titles:
- Ninja Gaiden 4: The latest installment in the long-running action series launches directly into Game Pass. Players will experience brutal, high-octane combat in a chaotic near-future Tokyo, with both a new protagonist and returning hero, Ryu.
- Baldur’s Gate & Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Editions (PC): These classic Dungeons & Dragons-based RPGs are coming to Game Pass on October 9th, offering immersive quests and branching narratives. The Forgotten Realms setting provides deep lore and challenging gameplay.
- The Casting of Frank Stone: A horror drama game launching October 14th, this title challenges players with morally gray choices as they investigate a sadistic killer and uncover supernatural horrors.
- Ball x Pit: Arriving October 15th, this unique game blends brick-breaking with roguelite survival elements, tasking players with exploring a monster-filled pit in search of treasure.
- The Grinch: Christmas Adventures: A lighthearted addition on October 15th, allowing players to experience Whoville through the eyes of the Grinch.
- Eternal Strands: Previously exclusive to Premium subscribers, this action RPG now expands to Ultimate, offering a unique magic system and climbable bosses.
- Evil West: Returning to Game Pass on October 21st, this vampire-hunting shooter provides co-op action in a dark American frontier setting.
Additional Titles & Premium Perks
Game Pass Premium subscribers gain access to even more games, including He Is Coming (preview), Keeper (an atmospheric puzzle game), Pax Dei (a medieval sandbox MMO), and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black (remastered). Microsoft is also making Eternal Strands available to Ultimate subscribers, previously exclusive to Premium.
Games Leaving Game Pass
Three titles will be removed from the service on October 15th: Cocoon, Core Keeper, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed. Players who wish to continue playing these games will need to purchase them separately.
The influx of new titles, combined with the ongoing rotation of games leaving the service, underscores the dynamic nature of Game Pass. Microsoft continues to refine its value proposition by adding high-profile releases like Ninja Gaiden 4 while also supporting classic and niche titles, ensuring a broad appeal for gamers across all platforms.
