Smart rings are becoming increasingly common, but Aivela is attempting to stand out from the competition by focusing on more than just biometric tracking. The company’s new Ring Pro introduces stealth gesture and touch controls, allowing users to interact with their smartphones with simple finger movements.
Stealth Control: A New Approach to Smart Rings
Most smart rings primarily track health metrics. The Ring Pro, revealed at CES 2026, adds the ability to control music playback, adjust volume, trigger smartphone cameras, and scroll through presentations with intuitive swipes, flicks, and slides directly from the ring itself. This feature aims to reduce reliance on constant phone interaction.
The Ring Pro’s design closely resembles other leading smart rings, like the Oura Ring and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Ring, with a metallic finish, slightly thicker profile, and sensors lining the interior. A small diamond-shaped engraving on top denotes the location of the integrated touchpad. The device supports eight touch commands and six gesture controls.
Health Tracking Remains Core
Despite the added functionality, Aivela hasn’t abandoned health tracking. The Ring Pro monitors sleep, workout performance, menstrual cycles, and over 13 other health metrics. The companion app provides long-term trend analysis, and includes a built-in AI advisor for real-time consultations. The ring is also waterproof up to 100 meters with an IP68 rating and boasts up to seven days of battery life.
Funding and Availability
Aivela is launching the Ring Pro on Kickstarter at $299, but early backers can secure one for $179. The company states there are currently no subscription fees for accessing the app’s services, unlike some competitors. As of launch, the campaign has already attracted over 5,000 backers.
While the Ring Pro was showcased at CES, independent testing is still pending. Whether its gesture controls prove practical in real-world use remains to be seen. Nevertheless, Aivela is attempting to redefine the smart ring category by moving beyond passive health monitoring towards active device control.
The Ring Pro represents a shift in smart ring functionality, prioritizing user interaction and convenience alongside health tracking.
